Processes For Microbiological detection and determination of antimicrobial suceptibilityin clinical, environmental or food samples

Abstract

MicroBioS will solve the currently huge timegap between sample collection and delivery of antimicrobial susceptibility results to the physician who needs to rapidly and accurately prescribe life saving antimicrobials to their patients. Our device will use laser speckle to detect bacterial growth in biological samples under antimicrobial challenge without the need of previous cultures, as current solutions require. Antimicrobial susceptibility result will accelerate from days to only a few hours, and the technology may be used at bed side.

Technical Field

The device can be used for clinical, food and environmental samples.
